Due to the vehicle's success in the battle, Rothana designed numerous other walkers for use by the GAR. AT-TEs were first used in action during the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
The typical arsenal of an AT-TE included a top-mounted mass-driver cannon, along with six other laser cannons placed strategically around the outside of the vehicle. Some versions of the walker were able to scale vertical cliffs, as evidenced in the Battle of Teth. On the back end of the machine was a large door that allowed for quick deployment of troopers in a battle. The AT-TE's rear compartment contained computer hologram communication devices and space for troopers to stand during transportation. The walker was used for numerous tasks including, but not limited to, transporting platoons of clone troopers on the battlefield and attacking enemy installations.
During the escape the walker was able to shrug off the fire power of several AT-AT walkers, and even destroy most of them.The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer (AT-TE), sometimes called a tank by clone troopers, was an all terrain assault walker developed for the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) during the Clone Wars. Only 6 prototypes were built, and 4 of them were seized by the empire to protect high level security facilities, while the other two landed in the hands of a small Rebel group who used them to escape Imperial forces, but had to leave them behind since they did not have any heavy transport so they destroyed them to keep them out of the Empire's hands. How ever the walker was not accepted into the Grand Army of the Republic since it would be hard to transport, and it had a large price tag. The walker is also equipped with advanced stabilizers allowing the walker to keep standing even if the legs are tangled, or in high winds.
The walker was heavily armed, and was protected by both capital ship hull plating, and capital ship grade shielding making the AT-HE a very hard walker to destroy.
